In September 1991 CCWA was formed to construct, manage and operate Santa Barbara County's local facilities for distribution and treatment of State water. CCWA is a joint powers authority comprised of eight member agencies. CCWA is a wholesale water provider to 13 water districts and private companies in Santa Barbara County, and another 11 water purchasers in San Luis Obispo County.

CCWA Board meeting notice – transition to video conference. The next regular meeting of the CCWA Board will be June 25, 2020 at 9:00 AM. Consistent with current guidance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order N-35-20 issued March 21, 2020 to maximize social distancing and public safety, CCWA will conduct this meeting by video conference only.  Board members, staff, and the public may participate remotely using this video conference link which will be provided prior to the meeting.
