In September 1991 CCWA was formed to construct, manage and operate Santa Barbara County's local facilities for distribution and treatment of State water. CCWA is a joint powers authority comprised of eight member agencies. CCWA is a wholesale water provider to 13 water districts and private companies in Santa Barbara County, and another 11 water purchasers in San Luis Obispo County.

CCWA Board meeting notice – transition to video conference. The next regular meeting of the CCWA Board will be August 27, 2020 at 9:00 AM. Consistent with current guidance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order N-35-20 issued March 21, 2020 to maximize social distancing and public safety, CCWA will conduct this meeting by video conference only.  Board members, staff, and the public may participate remotely using a video conference link TBD
