The Central Coast Water Authority (CCWA) is seeking applicants for the position of Water Treatment Plant Technician. We are looking for a team-oriented individual committed to innovative problem solving and who is positive, approachable and has the utmost integrity to join our excellent staff. A detail oriented candidate possessing excellent time management and organizational skills will do well in this position.
This maintenance position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent with direction from the Maintenance Foreman, and will perform skilled work in the maintenance of water treatment plant equipment, including equipment installations, maintenance and repair work to building, grounds, plant, and power equipment including pumps, motors, chemical feeders, mixers, compressors, gear drives and other equipment and related instrumentation.
Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will perform troubleshooting and repair of plant mechanical and electrical equipment, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, carpentry, masonry, maintain aesthetics of the plant and related duties.
The Water Treatment Plant Maintenance Technician will be based in the CCWA Polonio Pass Water Treatment Plant in northern San Luis Obispo County but may occasionally be assigned to any location along the 142 mile pipeline, extending from the Polonio Pass WTP to Lake Cachuma in Santa Barbara County.
Salary for the position is commensurate with work experience. The salary range for the position is Grade 19, $86,147 - $105,099 per year.
